In my read-most-days plan, I have come across some books I thought you all might like.  They are all books I read straight-through w/o pausing to meander about the house. In other words, they are books I recently read & enjoyed & would recommend checking out. I don't think most of them are out yet, but I tried to annotate the release dates if I knew them: 

YA (not in any order what-so-ever):
THE RISE OF RENEGADE X by Chelsea Campbell (supervillains, heroes, action, clever world, upper YA)--2010

SHADOW HILLS by Anastasia Hopcus (paranormal romance, boarding school, altered humans, clever)--Out July 2010

PERSONAL DEMONS by Lisa Desrochers (hot demons, hot angels, nasty demons, and very steamy romance, upper YA)--Sept 2010

BLOODTHIRSTY by Flynn Meany (YA, boy-centric, he pretends to be a vamp to get girls, VERY clever concept, writing, & resolution)--2010

DEMON'S COVENANT by Sarah Rees Brennan (Book 2 in a trilogy, very actiony but w romance, even better than book 1 in the series)--2010

*BODY FINDER by Kimberly Derting (I read it last year & blurbed it, but I'm re-recommending it bc it released yesterday.

Not YA (slightly older recs):

THE INCORRIGIBLE CHILDREN OF ASHTON PLACE by Maryrose Wood (MG, governess takes on job minding feral children, LOVED it.)--recently released IIRC

THE ZOMBIE CHASERS by John Kloepfer (MG, young reader, 3 kids deal w a zombie infestation in their town, fabulous gross fun)--June 2010

BLACK BUTLER (manga, Victorian era, sorta Artemis Fowl, but w a demon for his very efficient butler)--recently released IIRC

NOTE: These are not by authors I am friends with--although I have met & liked Sarah Rees Brennan and Kimberly Derting--so I think I can safely say that they're all objective recommendations.

NOTE #2: I read a lot, so the fact that there are a lot of recs is not that I rec everything.  This is maybe 10-15% of what I've read in the window I'm recommending from :)
