I'm posting the next giveaway early because I'll be in Scotland for August. You can enter starting now.

How do you enter?
Reply to this blog post, and then check back in late August to see if you won. (Sorry. I love giving away books, but I'm not going to hunt you down to give you things. You need to check back in during the last few days of August.)

Deadline to enter
August 29th.

What books can you win?

I have 4 copies of MATCHED by Ally Condie (which releases in the US & Canada November 2010). Go here to read a bit about it .

AND

I have 6 copies of the paperback reissue of SUNSHINE by Robin McKinley (which is out now). Go here to read a bit about it .

AND

Since I have neurotic twitching over the number 6, I'll add 2 (signed) paperback copies of Wicked Lovely.

***Winners will choose which book they get on a 1st come 1st served basis.

MATCHED Synopsis from the jacket:
"In the Society, Officials decide. Who you love. Where you work. When you die.

Cassia has always trusted their choices. It’s barely any price to pay for a long life, the perfect job, the ideal mate. So when her best friend appears on the Matching screen, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is the one . . . until she sees another face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black. Now Cassia is faced with impossible choices: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she’s known and a path no one else has ever dared follow—between perfection and passion.

Matched is a story for right now and storytelling with the resonance of a classic."

Why this?

What I told the editor: "I like to cheer good books. I might do the writing thing these days, but I was a lit teacher first—and of course, I am the mother of two critical readers. My 16 yr old daughter read Matched last night, and pronounced it “amazing” and “one of the best dystopians (aside from Brave New World!)” and “on par with Forest of Hands and Teeth.” She’s a picky beast, so I was thrilled to hand her one she loved.

Thanks for sharing this one.”

SUNSHINE Synopsis from the re-issued paperback:

"They took her.

It was a dumb thing to do but it wasn't that dumb. There hadn't been any trouble out at the lake in years. And it was so exquisitely far from the rest of Sunshine's life; she just needed to be alone with her thoughts for a little while. But then the vampires found her. Now, chained and imprisoned in a tumbledown mansio, alone but for the vampire shackled next to her, Sunshine must call on skills she didn't know she had if she is to survive. But her fellow prisoner is not what she expected of a vampire, and soon Sunshine discovers that not only does she need his help, her needs hers . . . "

Why this?:
It is, as I told the editor, "Quite possibly the best vampire book published in my lifetime" and it is the ONLY book I ever bought bc of a blurb.  Neil Gaiman called it "Pretty much perfect!"  He was right.
